"I was with someone. Someone who lives around here."
"No way."
I smiled and nodded.
"What? Are you joking?"
"We've been hanging out. We went to the movies yesterday."
"Oh my gosh. I'm so jealous. How did you do that?"
"What do you mean? I dunno, maybe he likes me? Am I not good enough for him?"
"Now you're just projecting." She laughed. "Ugh, I'm so mad. He was supposed to fall in love with me. Is he still fair game?"
